The Bellarine Arts Trail will be held over the upcoming Melbourne Cup weekend (Nov 1 -2) and celebrates our amazing artists across the towns of Barwon Heads, Ocean Grove, Point Lonsdale & Queenscliff. This major creative event for our region, was the brainchild of Barwon Heads Arts Council member and artist Kaz Shirley and has been managed by Barwon Heads Arts Council since 2016.
Financially supported this year by Community Bank Barwon Heads – Bendigo Bank, City of Greater Geelong, Borough of Queenscliffe, Queenscliff & Point Lonsdale, Queenscliffe Community Market & the Barwon Heads Arts Council. this volunteer, artist-led event aims to showcase the depth of creative talent in our region, with artists opening up their studio doors and gathering in collective venues; gathering to share their work, their processes and their love of creating with you all.
The Bellarine Arts Trail committee has been busy registering fabulous artists in the area to participate, booking venues, developing the arts trail map, which is ready to go to print and will also go live digitally.
The Arts Trail committee has organised an important information night for our participating artists, coming up Thursday 18th September 6pm – 8pm an essential opportunity to meet other artists, learn how to promote yourself and collect your trail goodies.
