
Mangroves from the Water – Art Exhibition
April 24 - May 3
Mangroves from the Water is a long-standing art campaign that aims to connect the community with degraded mangrove forests through art. Presented as an interdisciplinary group exhibition, the opening will take place on 24 April at 7pm and will feature a special programme, including embodied dance, music, and sound.
The exhibition brings together a range of contributors, including multimedia artist Zahidah Zeytoun Millie, poet Diane Faye, musician Demir Aliu, choreographer Jacqui Dreessens, photographer and sound artist Pratyay Raha, and Year 5 school students from Barwon Heads.
The exhibition opens at 7pm on Friday 24 April and closes at 4pm on 3 May. Opening hours are 10:00am–4:00pm. Please note that the exhibition will be closed from Monday to Wednesday.
The programme will also be accompanied by a free workshop for the community:
