Well known artist Patsy Bush returns to the Makers Shed in October!
Japanese Stab Binding Workshop Yotsume toji – Pouch Books
Pouch books are so called because their pages, folded at the fore edge and sewn at the back edge, form pouches, but their Japanese name translates simply as ‘four hole’.
During this workshop participants will create a traditional A5 book using Japanese stab binding technique
The book could be made as a gift or to be used as a personal sketchbook
What participants will get
• paper for covers and pages
• waxed thread
• written notes detailing the process.
• use materials to decorate covers
