The exhibition will also announce the Bellarine Arts Trail 2024 program. The Taste of the Trail Exhibition features work from the 90+ artists who will be participating in the Bellarine Arts Trail 2024. The exhibition gives visitors an opportunity to see a sample of each artists’ work and plan their arts trail experience.

The Bellarine Arts Trail 2024 takes place on Sat 2 – Sun 3 November.

Artists from the Bellarine will be opening their studios and will be at exhibition venues and galleries in Barwon Heads, Ocean Grove, Point Lonsdale and QueenscliN to meet visitors, discuss, show and sell their work. The program features artists from across the Bellarine including established professional and emerging artists.

This free, artist-led community event is run by volunteers on the Barwon Heads Arts Council with help from artists on the newly established Bellarine Arts Trail Committee.

One of the exhibition coordinator Viva Partos said that the Taste of the Trail Exhibition served as “a snapshot of the Bellarine’s incredible artistic talent” and she was thrilled to see how audiences at the event always enjoyed discovering new artists. “The exhibition ignites everyone’s excitement and energy for the Bellarine Arts Trail taking place on Melbourne Cup weekend. It helps them discover new work and plan which artists to visit in their studios and exhibition venues.”

The Bellarine Arts Trail 2024 has been made possible through the generous support of major sponsor Barwon Heads Community Bank Bendigo Bank, sponsorship from the The Borough of Queenscliffe and support from the Queenscliff Community Market.

The Taste of the Trail Exhibition at the Barwon Heads Arts Hub opens on the 19th October and runs until 4th November. The Bellarine Arts Trail runs 2-3 November 2024.
