Bevan Shepherd and Janet Goldman, of Tussock Gallery Point Lonsdale, now closed due to renovation works, have curated an exhibition of art works to be exhibited at ‘The Arts Hub’ January 7th – 20th 2025, 10am until 4pm each day.
Large intricate linocut prints of woollen jumpers inspired by her mothers knitting will be presented by Janet Goldman. Images of Ryrie Street plane trees and a new series of dress inspired linocuts will also amaze viewers in their colour and complexities.
Bevan Shepherd’s highly regarded Ocean Road series of large colourful individual fantasies of imagined journeys along our coastal roads are a feature of this exhibition along with forests of trees and local environs.
Coastal birds, local flora, and delicate design works from a past era feature in the works by Sue Cumming. They are presented on canvas and as unframed prints and will surely fascinate and intrigue viewers.
Paul Waycott reflects on sun soaked Point Lonsdale days at the back beach, favourite vistas of this beautiful part of the world. Many of the works on canvas done en plein air as he wandered through the sand hills and hidden aspects of Lon Retreat.
Works by Sue Poles present mysterious landscapes and seascapes on canvas that engage the viewer and explore their mysteries with the viewer. Subtle colours and textures feature highly in these works.
