Well known artist Patsy Bush returns to the Makers Shed after a sold out workshop in April!

Participants at this workshop will learn how to carve and create compositions using both traditional and experimental relief techniques.

Costs:  $50 BHAC members    $55 non-members    CLICK HERE TO BOOK

Relief printing is well-known for its beauty and versatility as a medium, from elaborate woodblock prints to deceptively simple styrofoam prints.

The process consists of carving images onto blocks with carving tools, inking those blocks, and then pressing them onto paper.

In this class, participants will explore relief printing techniques using soft cut printing block, as well as more unconventional materials.

This class is excellent for printmaking beginners, or for more experienced artists looking to broaden their scope!

There will be some designs to choose from, but participants are encouraged to bring their own image to carve (10 X 10 cm).

The hand carved block can be kept for future projects, like cards, wall art, and much more.

Please bring your lunch!
